Fierce Angel Presents Fierce Disco IV, Out July 5th
Fierce Angel releases available at all good record stores and on digital download
July marks the latest release from Fierce Angel. It’s taken a while to bring you a completely new album but much of early 2010 was spent touring and getting the entire Fierce Angel catalogue ready for it’s digital release. In May & June 16 EP’s featuring over 130 tracks were made available worldwide and A Little Fierce Remixed also hit the stores. Now it’s time to bring things bang up to date with 33 fierce house anthems and that’s just what the new Fierce Disco sets out to do.
Once again the CD has been compiled by Mark Doyle and much of the material is completely exclusive to this album, but there is always a place for some of clublands biggest tracks making Fierce Disco is a combination of the hottest exclusives and the fiercest anthems.
CD1 has a soulful house vibe and features exclusive material from the Fierce Collective with tracks from Soraya Vivian and Polina with “Don’t Lose The Magic” and “Don’t Tell Me Goodbye.” Next up Degrees of Motion return to the dance-floor with Celebrate and we welcome Erire to the Fierce family with “This Is My Life.” There is much mention of the Fierce Collective throughout the album and quite simply it’s a group of our finest producers and vocalists working together to bring you exclusive and extremely fierce new tunes. (The philosophy is Motown with a heavy dose of Stock Aitken and Waterman). Further on Martin Wright (one of our Fierce resident DJ’s) gives us the stunning “Can’t Get To Sleep” featuring Angie Brown and Izzy Stardust & Dumb Dan drag Fleetwood Mac onto the dance-floor with “Looking Out For A Bigger Love.” We close this CD with the rather spectacular 2Gether, which witnesses Roger Sanchez sampling the B52’s to devastating effect!
CD2 starts with a slightly mellow vibe as Eric Kupper revisits the classic “Whistle Song” and this is followed by “Could This Be Love” by Lugh Paraviti. Good friends the Bassmonkeys provide another anthem with “I’ll Show You Lovin” and also provide production duties on the next two Fierce Collective tracks. Super diva Soraya appears on “Happenin’ All Over Again” and Peyton teams up with Lady V for the hands in the air anthem “Baker Street.” The Baker Street track has proved so popular it will be getting a full release with mixes by The Oxford Hustlers and Soul Avengerz. The disco gets even fiercer with Bimbo Jones “And I Try,” alongside “Hot” by Inna and “On & On” by Agnes.
You may know the track “Where I Stood” in it’s original down-tempo version which featured on the last Angels Fall. Mark Doyle loved the track so much he commissioned an entirely new version and gave it a Fierce makeover. The results have been nothing but astounding with the stunning Soraya on vocals, Richie Jones and Eric Kupper on production duties. This track will also be getting a stand alone release.
CD3 starts with a definite 80’s flavour with tracks from Grum, Ocelot and James Talk And Ridney and we move on with classic anthem “Blue” getting a fierce makeover. Another future anthem is “River Flows In You” originally a piano track by a Korean composer with over 40 million hits on youtube! Towards the end of the CD “The Way It Is” gets a dance-floor mix and Peyton pops up again to storm the Foo Fighters “Best Of You” which finishes the album in full anthemic rock style.
So there it is 33 fierce anthems !!! and the label continues on it’s mission to supply the finest fiercest house music.
